Province... How ya doing lads!!!!.... Sorry for the Old English or my attempt at Old English....
Responsibility is a big word.... Actually never realized its value until around 6 months back....
I have always been fed with a silver spoon and I got pretty much what ever I wanted....
But doing things on my own stint took me places... made me change cities... landed me a job... taught me a lot about responsibilities....
Its funny how such a long word have a meaning that deep and yet this simple... you take a task and make sure you do it right... If you screw up in anyways; you know who is to blame; YOU!!!!
That is one of the great things that work life has taught me... I'm not saying that I wasn't responsible enough earlier... I'm just saying that I used to make more liberty to make careless mistakes for which others had to pay....
Its this teeny tiny thing which everyone shrugs off as in the above picture... Let the Blame Games Begin!!!!
But taking responsibility is great.... Sure you are accountable and you have to make others work so that they are every bit as accountable as you are - but you get much more in return...
You know that you are going to make someone happy if you do your task responsibly... You may not like what you're doing; but the end satisfaction is totally worth it.... It makes you grow into a better person....
And you can apply it in your work as well as everyday life.... I have noticed that it is particularly useful in work-life... Those who take on greater share of responsibilities are noticed, promoted earlier than everyone else and get the highest incentives.... They are also those who work beyond the stipulated times, know what are their duties and how to complete them efficiently and overall take a greater burden of work load upon themselves....
I can tell you by all the meager experience that I have; being responsible is difficult game... So many seen and unseen factors topple you... But here in lies the distinction of being just a job and a career that you actually love....
In your family, being responsible to your spouse and kids will truly help to learn the value of relationships.... Relationships are always a tricky business to handle and thus they are always shared responsibilities.... The pair should always work for what is in their best interests...
Hence, don't shun responsibilities like I did; embrace them to have a better life!!!!
